Since February, 2004 Jerry had been experiencing stomach pains but had dismissed them. Without medical insurance, going to the doctor was not a viable option.  Then in May he had to go to the emergency room due an incredibly sharp pain  in his abdomen.  Turns out he had an advanced case of appendicitis.
