The setting - the Capital of Laos
Celene and I met up, she'd emailed me the name of her hotel and some directions and I got off the bus and headed in a vague direction and managed to find it! Well, I found a note that she had left saying she was at the internet cafe down the street! I moved into her room and Paul got another room with Kat a few floors down. This was very unusual - more than a 3 story building! We were in the capital though, a six story was crazy modern! We all went out to dinner along the river and it was hot-pot style. We paid per ingredient and made a stew/soup that was MMMGOOD.
Then Paul left for Vietnam and Celene and I then hung out with some locals and a Canadian and not only went to local bars but went to a KARAOKE BAR. We rode very fast on zippy little scooters. It was good good times. During the day we watched bootleg videos, my favorite being 'Over The Hedge' and Celene labelling me 'Hammy'. |
