BANGKOK: CITY OF ANGELS
Flying the 11 hours from SFO to Tokyo for a 2 hr layover, then on to Bangkok proved that much funner when you take advantage of the free booze on international flights!  It was so funny when the stewardess said, "Very Strong! Can Drink So Much!" hmmm, perhaps this was a sign of things to come!

It was Celene, Zoe and myself and our mission was this: get Zoe some tailor-made couture, bargain in the Patpong Night market for purses, eat lots of curries, attempt to see some cultural sights and then get some island action in down south.  This is the beginning of our two week vacay with Zoe....
The best part was when small random origami animals suddenly appeared on our trays, courtesy of the man behind us!  We then had a lesson and got to keep a few of the animals.  Celene's was the best- a monkey climbing out of a tower!!
BANGKOK HIGHLIGHTS:
1. The response to Zoe's long acrylic fingernails
2. Late Night purse bargaining in Patpong
3.Discovery of Dim Sum
4. Wat Po (The Reclining Buddha)
5. Street stand noodles and beer post-shopping
6. The Day We Got Lost Across The River (?)
7. The hot-colored taxis
Yes, this is a baby elephant on the sidewalks of Bangkok....
We stumbled upon this amazing dim sum restaraunt....where Celene and Zoe promptly lost their minds when they learned everything was 15 - 30 baht (40B : 1 $). We went back twice! Essentially, I now know and love all that dim sum has to offer!  This was the beginning of |Celene's pork bun obsession that lasted well into Malaysia weeks later!!
Wat Po : The Reclining Buddha
It is monsoon now...so we ran into a little rain.  These stylish plastic rainjackets we picked up outside Wat Po.  Of course Zoe bargained and got them all for 3$! Sweet!
