CHIANG MAI: cooking class, thai massage lessons & a hill tribe trek!
It was rumored to be a smaller town
but with a bookish feel to it.  A more
cultured Bangkok.  Turns out most
people were right, there were more
bookstores per block than I've seen
elsewhere. The ability to learn the art
of Thai-style cooking, massage,
aromatherapy, language and go trekking
all from one town makes Chiang Mai a
good place to visit when you want to do
something productive.  Thus, Celene and
I took BOTH cooking classes and two
separate massage courses!  Palm Press
whole body and foot massage!
Finally,
curry doesn't seem to be so much of
a mystery to me....it's SO GOOD!
The class begins with a
trip to the market,
where you buy all fresh
ingredients....

On the Menu:
1. Tom Kha
2. Green Curry
3. Penang Curry
4. Pad Thai
5. Sweet & Sour Veggies
6. Spring Rolls
7. Four Sauce Mushrooms
8. Spicy/Ginger Green
Beans
Massage Time...Oh Yeah...
Celene has great technique!
Barbara and I are paying copius attention...and notes!!
Celene loves baby puppies...and I feel
she will have her own pretty soon!
Timmy was our massage instructor and was the absolute cutest woman!
She was truly a great teacher and now we're 'certified'....oh yes we are!
That'll be 250baht per hour thank you.
