So from now on it's this blog format because the other one is a pain-in-the-ass. Want to know what happened in South America from September 2005 to April 2006? Or any of the random daily stuff before that? Then here are the links... http://www.keelishaw.com/travel_blog.html (south america) and the other way old shit http://www.keelishaw.com/Blog_new.html (life during 2004 - 2005)

Today was great, it was the exciting end of another long ass haul. Went from Phuket, where I ate deliscious fake duck and some kind of bean sauce..mm..mm... to Suratthani. It was a six hour bus ride. Arrived at 7:30pm. (we were kindly dropped off at the train station! tell the driver and he'll take you directly there!) and bought the last two sleeper car tickets to Buttersworth, Malaysia. The train didn't leave until 1:34 a.m. (actually 2) but ate stir-fried morning glory and wondered what fried mullet was. Took the 15 hour train and made it to Buttersworth, where you can walk to the ferry station and get on a ferry for Georgetown, a city on the island of Panang, on the west coast of Malaysia. Met up with a girl named Catherine from Modesto- too funny and a German guy. Rented motorbikes and drove all around this crazy island!! I was soo goddamned freaked at first. a) it's the wrong side of the road and b) these people are insane drivers! None the less, with Celene a solid passenger (not all scary or wiggly) we booked it all over. Now we're off to dimsum!
