Life as we know it....
Entry for July 2, 2007

I am headed the way of the elderly.  Or so I've been told.  I LOVE prunes.  They are my newest food obsession.  That and any type of 'gourmet' nuts...mmm.. Pair this with shopping at the 99cent store and voila! I'm an old lady already!

I wrote a very long and highly poetic entry about how much my sister's tears emotionally affect me but alas, it was deleted on accident.  Thus, this entry will be more truncated than intended.  Work is going at a breakneck pace and the responsibilites I'm picking up I'm enjoying.  I want to do this as a career.

Went to the beach with Mandy and Dustin yesterday and then ate fried seafood at Neptune's Net and drank some Stella's.  As we parked, a sign read: "Beware, Rattlesnakes" which of course lodged itself very firmly in my subconscious.  My dream last night: I was bitten by two separate snakes, I was in India somewhere, I was part of a group moving from one locale to another, like a summer camp group....so these snakes bite me, I rip them off me and take their fangs out of my skin.  Get the anivenom.  Am okay.  Talk to my mom (or matriarchal figure) , who is there too aparantly.  Then as I try to follow the others, two other snakes bite and these I cannot get out.  As I finally do, realizing I wasn't able to rip them off before too much venom entered into my system, I walk to where the group is and talk to the 'mom' figure.  I tell her as I sit down on a white linoleum floor, with my legs straight out in front of me, that I've been bitten and it's probably too late, I've already been bitten too many times.  There's too much venom to counteract in time.  As I'm telling her she looks at me and I look at the punctures on the top of my legs, the underside of my legs are turning purple with hemorrage and then it's understood that my blood is not clotting and I'm about to start bleeding out.  Then I wake up.  It's 5:30am. This is the second day in a row I've woken up early early and stayed awake.  It's so much quieter.  I lay there and thought of my dream for awhile then got up to make some tea and check my work email, just to see if anything happened in the last 24 hours that I should be aware of.  I also emailed Celene, who's off in Brazil, I think due to arrive home today.
