seriously.  I love prunes!!!! woo hoo!  Television is a soul-sucking device that had mine very own in it's clutches all evening yesterday.  I couldn't even tell you what I watched, oh but I watched it and watched it without blinking.  The apartment is so quiet with Dickey and Pablo in Phoenix and Ed in NYC.  Justin and I had some serious couch bonding over a half episode of MTV's Making the Band 4.  Awesome.  When my room is clean and organized I can  barely bring myself to leave it! In the mornings I make my bed then as I walk out my door I take a self-satisfied look around.  It's mentally calming.  I've now set up a little 'garden' variety of potted plants on my balcony- three cacti/succulents purchased from the dollar store, a cherry tomato plant from my grandpa's house that my uncle was selling in a 'sidewalk plant sale' (which is kicking ass on the growth scale), six other supposed flower plants and this pink dappled little house plant that my mom pulled out of in-between-the-cracks of the sidewalk.  So because most of my plants have a story or origin of interest to me, I actually care about them.  Plus, it's so fucking hot in my apartment that I've now resorted to leaving my slider open and the view is so much improved with the plants.  I do need to wash the screen.  I guess there's always something.

It seems that all my friends will be headed to the Getty this evening (Friday's off the 405- live music, museum's open late, cash bar, cafe, sunset, good company) for a DJ session with DJ Ronnie Darko from Spank Rock.  They were soo soo good at Coachella I can't imagine not enjoying this.  Let's see: Mandy, Dustin, Teylor, Cedric, Michaela, Meredith, Brian, Brianne!  Unconfirmed: Jeni, Ian, Tim (they've got rehearsal and their own gig tomorrow so I believe that is a must attend session!) I just wish Scott weren't in Canada, this is his hood!
